MDJ – The No.1 Fabrication Partner

Reliable sheet metal fabrication in the UK is no longer just about producing parts, it’s about ensuring those parts arrive on time, to specification, and ready to move straight into production.

MDJ are more than a supplier to us. They are a long-term partner who understand our business.

Our relationship with MDJ Manufacturing has grown over more than two decades, and it’s one that has supported the development of Mackworth as a business.

They supply a wide range of fabricated components and materials that are used across a large proportion of our vehicle builds and conversions. Over the years, MDJ have supplied tonnes of steel and aluminium, supporting 100s ofvehicle builds and projects across our operation.

More recently, we’ve worked together to develop a more standardised van racking solution, focused on reducing weight while improving strength and consistency across builds. This has allowed us to offer a more efficient and scalable solution to our customers.

MDJ are more than a supplier to us. They are a long-term partner who understand our business, respond when it matters, and consistently deliver to the standards we require.

Andrew Kent, General Manager, Mackworth Vehicle Conversions

MDJ Manufacturing has been a key partner to Mackworth for decades…

From a design and engineering perspective, their input has been invaluable in helping us refine and develop our product range.

Our internal design team works closely with MDJ’s, and that collaboration has played a significant role in shaping solutions, such as our Streamline Pro range. Their ability to support from concept through to production, combined with their in-house capabilities, gives us confidence that what we provide can be delivered efficiently and consistently.

With processes including laser cutting, turret punching, press braking and fabrication all handled under one roof, MDJ provide the flexibility and control needed to support both prototyping and repeat production.

They understand the detail behind what we’re trying to achieve and are always willing to challenge and improve designs where needed. That level of technical support, alongside their reliability, makes them a trusted extension of our own team.
